History of the Magnum Opus Cruise

The Magnum Opus was started by Peter Duff of Edey & Duff boatbuilders in 1980 as a way for Dovekie sailors to cruise thin water and enjoy the company of like minded sailors. Over the years other boats have come into the fold and the Magnum Opus is now organized by members of the Shallow Water Sailors. The common thread for members is cruising in easily trailered boats capable of sailing in a heavy dew.
